Mitchell Innovations · Partnerships
There's no single right way to bring an idea to market. Whether you want to license a concept, acquire it outright, invest in it, or build something together — the structure is flexible. What matters is finding the right fit.
Deal Structures
Every concept and every partner is different. Here are the four structures we're open to — though the details are always negotiable.
Your company pays an ongoing royalty — a percentage of revenue — to manufacture and sell the invention. No large upfront cost; payments scale with sales. Best for companies that want to add a concept to an existing product line while keeping initial risk low.
Best for: Product companies, manufacturers, OEMs
A hybrid structure: a one-time upfront payment at signing, followed by ongoing royalties on sales. The upfront payment compensates for the IP and development work; royalties align long-term incentives. Often the most attractive deal for both sides.
Best for: Companies wanting shared risk with ongoing alignment
Full transfer of IP rights for a one-time payment. You own the concept entirely — no ongoing royalties, no shared upside. Best for companies that want clean ownership and full control over the commercialization path.
Best for: Companies wanting full IP ownership
An investor funds the development or commercialization of an invention in exchange for equity. Mitchell Innovations retains involvement in the venture. Best for investors who see strong market potential and want a stake in the outcome.
Best for: Angel investors, venture capital, strategic investors
Both parties contribute resources — IP, capital, manufacturing, distribution — and share in the results. Best for companies that want a collaborative path to market and are willing to co-develop the opportunity.
Best for: Strategic partners with complementary capabilities
The Process
The process is straightforward. No gatekeeping, no lengthy qualification process — just a direct path from interest to agreement.
Reach out via the contact form or email. No pitch deck required — just tell us which concept caught your attention and what your company does. We'll respond within 48 hours.
If there's mutual interest, we sign a mutual NDA and share a full concept brief — detailed documentation of the invention, its applications, and the market opportunity as we see it.
Your team evaluates the concept. We're available to answer questions, provide additional materials, and discuss technical or commercial specifics. No pressure, no timeline.
If you want to move forward, we discuss deal structure — licensing terms, acquisition price, equity split, or joint venture framework. We're flexible and open to what works for both sides.
Agreements are signed, IP is transferred or licensed, and the concept moves toward commercialization. Mitchell Innovations remains available for technical support and collaboration as needed.
What Partners Get
Every concept in the portfolio has been developed beyond the initial spark. When you enter a partnership with Mitchell Innovations, you're getting a documented, thought-through concept — not a rough sketch that still needs years of work.
You bring the manufacturing capability, distribution network, and market reach. The original thinking — the hardest part — is already done.

Common Questions
Some concepts have provisional or full patent applications in progress; others are at the trade secret stage. IP status is disclosed during the NDA phase. We can discuss specifics once a mutual NDA is in place.
Yes. After signing a mutual NDA, we share a complete concept brief including the problem being solved, the proposed solution, potential applications, and any technical documentation available.
No. Deal structure and terms are negotiated based on the concept and the partner. We're open to conversations of all sizes — from a small licensing arrangement to a full acquisition.
Great — reach out and mention which ones. We can discuss a portfolio arrangement or handle each concept separately depending on what makes sense.
It depends on the deal structure and your internal process. An initial conversation to signed NDA can happen in days. From there, due diligence and deal structuring typically takes a few weeks to a few months.
